The British Academy of Implant Dentistry’s mission is “To strive towards clinical excellence through the art and science of implant dentistry in the UK by providing more educational opportunities, and encouraging the sharing of knowledge among enthusiastic Implant Surgeons, Technicians and Auxiliaries”.

The Aims and Objectives of BAID are as follows:

• To raise the profile of implant dentistry to the general public in the UK , Europe and Worldwide.
• To broaden the knowledge of implant dentistry among Dental Professionals in the UK , Europe and Worldwide.
• To seek and sponsor research projects by creating links with universities Worldwide.
• To source corporate sponsorship to support research projects worldwide.
• To be the no. 1 source of info for implant dentistry for members of the public and dental professionals.
• To set up accreditation processes for dentists.
• To encourage the study of implant dentistry to students and provide bursaries and sposorships.
• To encourage innovation in implant dentistry
• To sponsor funds into charitable purposes for the advancement of implant dentistry.
• To increase the number of implants placed in the UK and move towards WHO guidelines on oral health.

The purpose of BAID is to provide access to information about upcoming meetings, educational opportunities and also career opportunities throughout the UK and the rest of the world. Also we aim to be a resource for educational materials for both Dental Profesionals and the public. If you have any topics you wish to discuss or any questions you wish to ask, then please use our discussion forums to chat with your colleagues.

Membership to BAID is FREE. We hope that you will join in on the regular events that are listed on this website, as your participation is what will make the Dental Implant industry progress further. Once you have become a member, you can chose whether to add your practice to the public directory, and also whether or not you as a practitioner are displayed in the professional section
