About BAID

The British Academy of Implant Dentistry was founded “To strive towards clinical excellence through the art and science of implant dentistry in the UK by providing more educational opportunities, and encouraging the sharing of knowledge among enthusiastic Implant Surgeons, Technicians and Auxiliaries”.

BAID was established in early 2008. Its formation was in part inspired by our trans-atlantic affiliates at The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (www.aacd.com).

BAID has an enthusiastic and dedicated Board of Directors who’s ideas, knowledge, energy and enthusiasm is the driving force behind all that BAID believe in. Opening the industry to discussion, debate and advancements.

The future goal is to be able to offer a structured progression of BAID qualifications which will involve a challenging set of courses on various sectors of Dental Implantology, followed by intensive examination. This qualification will require studying, study groups and a commitment to completing this. Online studying, online study groups and online examinations will be available.
