Where can you get extra bone from?

Bone can be harvested from a number of sources such as the tibia, hip, chin or posterior regions of the lower jaw. When your own bone is used to create new bone in a different location in the mouth you will have to contend with the discomfort created by the site the bone is harvested as well as the surgical site. Many people feel that this is well worth it as your own bone is considered to be far superior to other sources.
